About Me!
Hi!
I’m Katie Mogren, a stage manager currently studying at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Born and raised in Minnesota, I was constantly surrounded by the theatre community, which sparked a love for all things performance and production.
I started my theatre journey as most do, onstage, but I discovered being onstage was not quite my jam, so I took a break from theatre for a while. I learned about stage management right before I went to high school and pursued it immediately. I worked as crew for a few shows, but from there on I was on the stage management team for almost every production my high school put on. Stage management shaped my experience so much I decided to follow it as a career path, and landed at CCM.
Since arriving at CCM, I have received a multitude of amazing opportunities to grow my skills as a theatre practitioner. I have been able to work on a variety of productions including musicals, plays, and dance performances. This wide breadth of performance types has allowed me to hone my communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to become a more well-rounded stage manager.
I strive to create an open and welcoming environment where artists feel supported and encouraged to take creative risks. Clear communication, empathy, and thoughtful organization shape my approach in every room I enter. I love the energy of the rehearsal room, the problem-solving of tech, and the teamwork that makes each production possible.
I look forward to continuing my education through every production I work on, knowing that each show offers something new to learn.
